A Good App for Relationships

The habit of making APology is one that will make any relationship better. An apology is an invitation to deeper connection.

One Explanation of A Good Apology:

-A good apology is one that is made with sincerity.  A half-hearted or artificial apology is worse than no apology.

Two Examples of Bad Apologies:

-"I am sorry that you are hurt.”  This is an apology that states the obvious but does noting to remedy the situation.  It establishes superiority rather than humility.

-"I am sorry but…  " Anytime the word ‘but’ is used that word disqualifies or minimizes whatever went before it.  An apology like this is really not an apology at all.

Three Elements of a Good Apology:

- What I did or said was wrong.

- I feel badly for hurting you.

- What can I do to make it better?

Thoughts to Ponder:

How sincere are my apologies?

What do I need to do to make my relationship better?

Romans 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
