Condescending Listening - This level of listening is carried out with the intention of proving one’s point.
Pretend Listening - The focus of attention is on something else while it appears that attention is being placed on what is being said.
Selective Listening - Instead of hearing what is being said fully, there is attention to what is going to be said in response.
Attentive Listening - Seeks to understand before being understood. It is actively listening to the meaning of what is being said.
Empathetic Listening - Seeks to understand with the heart (emotions) and the mind (thoughts) whether this requires action or not. It is innately connecting with the other person in the deepest manner.
