Get naked!
Genesis 2:25 The man and his wife were
both naked and they felt no shame.
I am realizing the words ‘naked’ and ‘unashamed’
were meant to be experienced together. Physical nakedness is to accompanied by
emotional security. This has great implications for intimacy.
I find this to be a huge part of my
couple counseling. Typically, the man
wants his wife to get naked physically and the wife wants
her husband to cover her with
emotional security. It is when the two
take place together that marriage experiences intimacy the way it was intended.
Practical application: Intimacy is a healthy mix of vulnerability
(nakedness) and security (unashamed)
How much of our intimacy is physical?
How much of our intimacy is emotional?
