Hot and Now!
Yesterday
I ordered pizza for lunch because we were in a hurry with lots to do. The pizza arrived and on the box it
said “hot and now”. We ate quickly and went on with the day.
Today
I am sitting around the fireplace on a snowy, wintery day with not a lot on the
agenda. My wife is preparing a
meal, and it is “just simmering”.
There is an anticipation of the meal as the aroma fills the house.
When
I think of this it could analogous to how men and women approach sex. Typically, men are ready for ‘hot and
now’ and women appreciate ‘just simmering’.
Sexual
enjoyment can be both but it needs to have “just simmering” moments. Moments of quiet conversation, moments of gentle touch,
moments of serving consideration, moments …

by the way of the two meals, “just simmering” was much more enjoyable.

long has it been since we have slowed things down to enjoy each other?
What
would some ‘just simmering’ moments be for us?
