That's What She Said

That’s What She Said

Genesis 3.13 … The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate”

Eve’s words are often my words.  I have a tendency to blame rather than to claim responsibility.  When something goes wrong it is my natural tendency make it somebody else’s fault, but when all things are good I have a tendency to take the credit.

In my marriage I have a tendency to judge my wife by her action and judge myself by my intention.  I am realizing that my wife will never intentionally hurt me or our marriage.  She wants the best for it just like I do.

My challenge is to make my actions display my intentions.

Practical Application:  I need to give my partner as much benefit of the

doubt as I give myself when it comes to intentions.

Am I giving the same benefit of the doubt to my partner that I am giving

to myself?

How are my actions displaying my intentions?
