Brian Frizzell, MA, MS, LPC

Brian is a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years experience in the counseling field. He specializes in marriage and relational counseling but has also applied himself to helping individuals addressing a variety of life issues. He now serves as consultant to many churches giving assistance in developing and maintaining counseling and care ministries. He has initiated and given oversight to Marriage and Premarital Seminars and Recovery Workshops. He is also a licensed minister. Brian has been married for over 25 years and is the father of three sons. He brings the practical experience of husband and father to the counseling setting. He is a gifted speaker and seminar leader. He is the author of Marriages by Design and number of ebooks.

John Opalka, MA, LPC

John Opalka has a BA in psychology and a MA in counseling. He began his schooling at Evangel University and finished at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO. He is originally from New Jersey and has lived in Springfield since 2000. He comes to Christian Counseling Services with experience working with youth in both the church and clinical setting. He has taught elementary & high school, Sunday school and been a youth leader at his church. John has also worked with young people with psychological problems in group home settings. John has shown his passion for youth and adults to help them reach their full potential to become balanced individuals.

Nicole Edgmond, Counselor, M.ed.

Nicole Edgmond comes to Christian Counseling Services with experience working with women in both the church and clinical setting. Nicole holds a Master's in Education and will complete her Master's in Counseling in 2011. She is the director of Embraced Ministries. Her passion is to meet women's needs for authentic connection, intimacy with Christ, emotional healing, & the pursuit of their God-given purpose. She is a mother to her beautiful daughter and a devoted wife. Her life experience of divorce and emotional healing have given her a platform to encourage women through speaking engagements, leading bible studies, and clinical counseling.
